Founded

Durabody, now Durabody Industries Ltd., was founded in 1981 and is a private Canadian company. It is a dynamic, innovative and a recognized Canadian manufacturer specializing in the design, fabrication and assembly of truck bodies, decks and built-to-spec up to 53' trailers.

Philosophy

Durabody has been recognized as a leader in the industry and has been a long serving member of the Canadian Transportation Equipment Association (CTEA) and the Automotive Transportation Service Superintendents Association (ATSSA).  Durabody is Transport Canada certified and has been awarded National Safety Mark #A40, which ensures that all new builds and modifications are compliant with all current Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.  Durabody's experience and World Class manufacturing technologies will enable us to proficiently accommodate your product requirements.

Growth

In 1985, Durabody began production of highway trailers. With time, this production has increased substantially. As a trailer manufacturer, Durabody occupies a niche, particularly for its special configuration and custom trailer product design approach.

Because of its growth, the company ownership and day-to-day management was reshaped in 1993. Two knowledgeable, well-known and respected veterans in the industry became co-owners along with the founder. Their combined history in the transportation manufacturing industry and ... "hands on" approach contributed to the success and popularity of the now expanded product lines.

Due to the progressive and imaginative design approach, continuous evaluation of its production methods and viability of its products, the company became a major force in the truck body equipment world. With employee dedication and loyalty exceeding that in the general industry, employee turnover was reduced. This allowed continuity in both quality and craftsmanship. The groundwork built up the company's credibility to influence National industry standards. Coupled with the willingness to respond to the needs of the customer, Durabody provided the end users with the resources to do their work in a cost effective and efficient manner. The long life cycle value inherent in Durabody products has resulted in a satisfied and loyal, repeat customer base.
